Mumbai: Former England skipper Nasser Hussain broke the Guinness World Record for taking the highest catch of all-time recently. The cricketer – who retired in 2004 – held on to the ball dropped from an aerial drone, at least 100 feet above. It was during a challenge thrown by Sky Sports at the iconic Lord’s stadium, which is all set to host the first Test between England and Pakistan next
week.Hussain completed the task in three attempts.The drone – Batcam – released the ball at an estimated speed of 74 miles per hour.During his heydays, he caught as well as dropped many at the slips; he caught the ball in his first attempt but wasn’t satisfied with results. He increased the height and caught the cherry from 160 feet above in the windy ground. He missed the final one which was dropped from 400 feet but by then, he had earned the record.
