Justice Sharma sworn In As Upa Lokayukta Of Assam

Former Judge of the Guwahati High Court Chittaranjan Sharma appointed as Assam’s Upalokayukta by Governor Banwarilal Purohit recently. Lokayukta is an anti corruption Ombudsman(लोकपाल) appointed in states. 

For the very first time the Maharashtra state has been initiated(शुरू किया) Lokayukta in theyear 1971. At Present the Lokayukta system is functioning in 17 states.
