Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar, Suhas Joshi get Lifetime Achievement Awards

The programme was organised by Athashri in association with Association of Senior Citizens Organisations Pune (ASCOP).Celebrating the World Senior Citizen’s Day, Athashri Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to the cause of serving senior citizens, felicitated veteran music director Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar and actress Suhas Joshi with Lifetime Achievement Award.
The award, which was in the form of a memento, bouquet and Puneri pagdi (turban), were presented by Sanskrit scholar Shankar Abhyankar.The programme was organised by Athashri in association with Association of Senior Citizens Organisations Pune (ASCOP). Also present on the occasion were Shashank Paranjape and Sudesh Khatavkar, founders of Athashri Foundation, and Shrikant Paranjape. Providing a platform to senior citizens and supporting their talent, the grand finale of Rang Tarang, a cultural competition for senior citizens organised by the foundation, was held at the event. The foundation bestowed awards to artistes excelling in the fields of drama, dance and music.
Athashri Foundation, a non-profit organisation founded in 2002, has been celebrating World Senior Citizens Day every year by felicitating personalities from various fields with a Lifetime Achievement Award for their contribution to society.
In the past, Anna Hazare, Mangesh Padgaonkar, Ajit Wadekar, Usha Mangeshkar and Vikram Gokhale have been bestowed with the award.
