OCARE launches India’s first dental insurance product

Mumbia-based independent Insurance Process as a Service (IPAAS) platform, OCARE has launched the first ever dental insurance product in the country. A group insurance product aims to make dental treatments accessible, affordable and achievable for the end-users. With its nationwide effort, OCARE will offer group dental insurance to villages through gram panchayats of the country. Vihigaon, a village
panchayat located in the Buldhana district of Maharashtra state, India, becomes the first village to be covered by OCARE Dental Insurance. OCARE, India’s first independent Insurance Process as a Service (IPAAS) platform, launched its dental insurance product  in India. A group insurance product, it offers a sum assured of Rs 25,000.
Neeraj Sheth, Founder & CEO, OCARE said that this is the first time dental insurance is being offered as an exclusive product in India.
He added that usually dental insurance is clubbed with health insurance and is available under the general health insurance plan, where dental ailments are not covered exclusively. Under the general plan, costs of hospitalisation and medicines are covered only in the case of dental emergencies.
