Indore: Former rector of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), Bal Krishna Pasi passed away after prolonged illness on Thursday afternoon. He was an eminent professor who guided many PhD scholars, including NCERT director Hrushikesh Senapaty, wrote several books and was instrumental in opening of many departments in DAVV. Remembering Pasi, vice-chancellor Dr Narendra Dhakad said
that he had played a crucial role in transformation of DAVV in the 80s and 90s and was always available for providing his valuable guidance, wherever required, even after his retirement. He was instrumental behind establishment of EMRC, School of Journalism and Mass Communication, School of Future Studies and Academic Staff College on UTD campus during his tenure as rector, DAVV media in-charge Dr Chandan Gupta said.
