Prime Minister Narendra Modi met meet New Zealand Prime Minister John Key at Hyderabad House in New Delhi on Wednesday. Both leaders held bilateral talks on the issues of mutual interests on trade, renewable energy and defence. India and New Zealand also exchanged agreements and issue a joint statement. Addressing media after meeting New Zealand PM, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, he
had detailed discussion on bilateral ties. PM also added that we recognise the need for greater economic engagement. Earlier in the morning,visiting New Zealand Prime Minister John Key said that India's entry to NSG will be high on agenda with talks with PM Modi.
Speaking to news person after that, John Key said that many issues of primary interest to India including India's admission to NSG will be taken up during the visit. Key's visit will focus on strengthening ties in the areas of trade, renewable energy and defence high on the agenda.
Earlier Visiting New Zealand Prime Minister John Key was given a ceremonial reception at the President House on Wednesday.
Later John Key paid tribute to father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi at Raj Ghat
Minister of State for External Affairs MJ Akbar also met visiting New Zealand Prime Minister John Key.
