Aditi Dhumatkar wins gold medal in the 100m Freestyle Senior Women's category at the 70th Glenmark Senior National Aquatic Championship here today. Aditi clocked 00:29.14 sec to beat Olympian Shivani Kataria of Haryana, who settled for a silver with a time of 00:59.50 sec and Maharashtra swimmer Rayna Saldhan won the bronze medal after clocking 00:59.91 sec.
Maharashtra featuring Nimish Muley, Aditi, Avantika Chawan and Viraj Prabhu claimed gold with a time of 1:42.91 sec, while Karnataka (01:44.20 sec) and Gujarat (01:44.33 sec) won silver and bronze respectively.
Maana Patel of Gujarat bagged the gold medal with a time of 00:31.75 sec, while Jyotsna Pahsare won the silver in the 50m Backstroke Senior Women category in 00:30.91 sec and Avantika bagged the bronze medal with a time of 00:31.63 sec.
The Gold medal in 800m Freestyle Senior Women category was won by Shruti Mahalingam of Tamil Nadu with a time 09:40.63 sec and Preksha H M of Karnataka won the silver clocking 09:42.12 sec. Monique Gandhi won the bronze medal with a time of 09:44.14 sec.
Maharashtra won the women's championship with 148 points, while the Swimming team championship was won by Railways in the Men's with a total of 175 points and Karnataka won the overall swimming championships with 246 points.
