'Tiranga Yatra' being taken out across the country


A week-long "Tiranga Yatra" to evoke nationalism and patriotism is being undertaken across the nation on the occasion of 70th Independence Day celebrations. In the series, a number of union ministers and Parliament members conducted Tiranga Yatra on Thursday in various parts of the country and paid tributes to the freedom fighters.  Minister of state for law and justice PP Chaudhary and Union minister Giriraj Singh
conducted Tiranga Yatra at Marwar Junction of Pali district in Rajasthan.Alarge number of people participated in the yatra. Union Minister Giriraj Singh said that the Yatra is being conducted on the call of Prime Minister and it will be taken to Kashmir the next year. Minister of state for Agriculture and Farmers' welfare SS Ahluwalia held Tiranga Yatra at Dinajpur in West Bengal. He paid floral tributes to the freedom fighter Churka Murmo.BJP's youth wing national president Anurag Thakur led the Tiranga Yatra at Una in Himachal Pradesh.

Union Minister of Statistics and Programme Implementation D. V. Sadananda Gowda took part in Tiranga Yatra at Shivganga in Tamil Nadu. He paid floral tributes to the freedom fighter Velu Nachiyar on the occasion.
