Smita Sandhane appointed (नियुक्त) MD of Saraswat Bank

Saraswat Bank, largest lender in the co-operative space, on Saturday appointed Smita Sandhane as its managing director. Sandhane, who has been associated(संबंधित) with the bank for the last 35 years and was serving(सेवारत) as the chief financial officer, takes over from SK Banerji, who retired recently, the bank said in a statement. She was serving as the joint managing director since August 2016, and has served as head of wholesale(थोक) banking and planning, accounts and stressed assets in the past. Sandhane is on the board of National Payments Corporation of India as well.
