Telangana to host first Videsh Sampark

Telangana will host the first outreach(आगे निकल जाना) programme of the Ministry of External Affairs ‘Videsh Sampark’, to engage the State governments to create awareness about various programmes of the Ministry. The conference will be held on May 13 in the city which will be inaugurated by the Minister of State for External Affairs, Gen. V.K. Singh, said Regional Passport Officer E. Vishnuvardhan Reddy. IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao, Home Minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy along with senior officials from various departments will participate. He said SPs from 12 districts from which a large number of migrant workers go for overseas employment (रोज़गार) will also participate.

Mr. Reddy said the conference will create awareness on the schemes and initiatives(पहल)  launched by the Ministry with regard to consular(वाणिज्यिदूत संबधी) and passport services; engagement with overseas Indians; and welfare and protection of overseas Indians.

The conference will feature interactive sessions on specific thematic priorities(विषयगत प्राथमिकताओं).
