Harish Banghel won a silver in the men’s middleweight Muay Thai event at the 5th Asian Beach Games. Banghel lost to Zhang Yongkang of China in the final of 71-75kg category to settle for a silver. Muay Thai is a combination of boxing and martial arts originated in Thailand. Yesterday, India had opened their medal account with Pinky Balhara bagging a bronze in kurash. India has a
contingent of 208 members in the 5th Asian Beach Games. In the previous edition held in 2014 in Phuket, India had won two gold, a silver and seven bronze medals.
