Spl Secy Finance M S Sheikh passes away

Senior KAS officer and Special Secretary Finance Muhammad Sadiq Sheikh passed away in Jammu Monday morning. Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti has condoled(शोक व्यक्त किया) his demise (निधन)

and described him as a hard working and honest officer who earned the goodwill of his seniors and subordinates(अधीनस्थ) equally. She has also conveyed(अवगत करा) her sympathies with the bereaved family. Minister for Finance, Dr Haseeb Drabu has expressed deep grief and sorrow over his demise.  The Finance Minister described Mr Sheikh as a gentleman, a hardworking and dedicated officer who earned the goodwill of his seniors and subordinates equally. “His demise is a huge loss for not only his family, but the Finance Department as well,” Dr Drabu said.

The Finance Minister conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul(मृत आत्मा).

Chief Secretary B B Vyas while expressing grief and sorrow over demise of senior KAS officer and Special Secretary, Finance, described him as a gentleman, a hardworking and dedicated officer who earned the goodwill of his seniors and subordinates equally. “His demise is a huge loss for not only his family, but for the whole administrative fraternity,” he said.

The Chief Secretary conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul.

The KAS Officers Association has expressed deep shock and anguish over the death of Mohammad Sadiq Sheikh, one of its senior members and Special Secretary, Finance Department.

In a condolence message, the Association paid glowing tributes to the departed officer, who occupied several important administrative positions during his career. “It is most unfortunate that the State has lost a dedicated officer who served the people with distinction,” an Association spokesperson added.

The Association also expressed solidarity with the bereaved family members and relatives of the KAS officer in their hour of grief and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
