Former MLA Siji Jully passes away, Governor and CM mourn
ITANAGAR, May 16: Former MLA Siji Jully passed away on Tuesday morning. He represented the Puroik community in the state legislative assembly in 1984. Born to late Siji Tallang and late Siji Modung of Maching village under Nyapin of Kurung Kumey district, Jully went to Government Primary School, Nyapin from where he passed class-VIII. He was nominated as ZPM and later in 1984, nominated to the Legislative Assembly as MLA from the Puroik community. Jully was instrumental in re-grouping Puroik villages of Maching and Jiping and contributed largely in bringing awareness on social issues. Arunachal Pradesh Governor, P B Acharya and Chief Minister Pema Khandu have deeply mourned the demise of former nominated MLA Siji Jully. The Governor in his condolence message said that in the passing way of late Jully, the state has lost a social worker, who was the first generation leader of the Puroik community. Conveying(संदेश) heartfelt condolence to the members of the bereaved (वंचित) family, the Governor offered prayers to the Almighty (सर्वशक्तिमान) to give them enough strength to bear the loss and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
Further, Chief Minister Pema in his condolence message said that late Jully will always be remembered for his fight against abolishing(खत्म) bounded slavery and working to uplift the Puroik community.
In a letter to late Jully’s bereaved family, Pema expressed grief over Jully’s demise and prayed (निधन और प्रार्थना)to the Almighty God to bestow them with enough strength to bear the irreparable loss.
