the tactics (युक्ति) used for wiping out(स्वच्छ करना)  the most dreaded(खूंखार)  forest brigand Veerappan on whom a prize money of Rupees 5 crores had been declared.  Shri Vijay Kumar, a former 1975 batch IPS Officer from the Tamil Nadu cadre, was the Chief of the Special Task Force (STF) that was behind the killing of Veerappan during “Operation Cocoon” in 2004 resulting in the killing of Veerappan.
