About Indian Institute of Science: It is a public university for scientific research and higher education situated in Bengaluru, India. IISc was formed in the year of 1909 with help and support from Jamsetji Tata and H.H. Sir Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV, the Maharaja of Mysore. So, it is also known as “Tata Institute”. The campus of this institute is located in North about 4 kilometers from the Bangalore City Railway Station and bus stand. The Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institute of Technology (Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Madras, Roorkee, Kanpur & Kharagpur) are jointly hosts GATE India examination every year regularly. This Graduate Aptitude Test is the entrance exams specially conducted for those who had completed their Bachelor degree and wants to continue education of post graduation courses such as M.Tech, M.Arch, M.E., M.Plan, etc.

Rcently, the Indian Institute of Technology had successfully conducted GATE 2017 online examination for groups like computers, electronics, civil, mechanical on 04/02/17, 05/02/17, 11/02/17 & 12/02/17. This computer based test was organized in multiple sessions at various numbers of exam centers throughout the India. This Indian Entrance exam was held in morning shift from 09:00 A.M to 12:00 P.M and afternoon shift from 02:00 P.M to 05:00 P.M. According to database more than 20 lakhs eligible students had attended this exam for continuing their further higher educations. Now, after completion of exam every candidate is keenly waiting for the GATE 2017 Cut Off Marks & Merit List. The examination consisted of a single paper. The question paper had both multiple choice questions (MCQ) and numerical answer type questions. The paper had carried 65 questions for the maximum of 100 marks. The time duration was of three hours. However, till then participants can check out an official answer key from the main portal so that they can get some idea regarding their final outcome of result.


As per the official advertisement, GATE 2017 Merit List will be officially released on Saturday 27/03/17 via online service on the internet. All the students should mark their calendars and stay updated on a result date. Last year, this result announced on March 19, 2016. Here we notify to every candidate that GATE Exam score validity will be for a period of 03 years. After the declaration of results, students can download their score card for the paper from 27/03/2017 to 26/05/2017. All the IIT of Kharagpur, Bombay, Chennai, Kanpur, Delhi, Guwahati and Hyderabad will publish some cut off so, all those who score more than cut off marks are shortlisted in the Merit List.

Answer Key: The GATE 2017 Answer Keys shall publish on Feb 27 at the website. The authority will accept challenges from the candidates for answer key during March 3 to March 6. Only after giving the justification and paying Rs. 500/- for each question, candidate can challenge the answer key.

How to Download GATE 2017 Score Card?

Open an authorized website of the Institute or just go through a direct working link uploaded below.

Now in the home page, click on the download link named as “Result of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, 2017”.

If required, then submit your Admit Card Number, DOB, Password, etc.

Finally after valid submission, a pdf file of your Scorecard and merit list will display in the active device.

At last, save the result and print out a copy of it for admission purposes.
