Kendriya Vidyalaya to begin Teacher Recruitment Soon , 6000 openings will be up for grabs The Union Minister for Human Resource Development, Prakash Javadekar, laid the foundation stone of a new Kendriya Vidyalaya at Shahdara, Delhi and declared that 6000 new teachers will be recruited soon to fill up vacant posts in various Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) schools.  He underlined the indispensable need of quality education to develop and foster a complete citizen with strong fundamental values. He further emphasized that KV's impart quality education which is on par with other renowned institutes of academic excellence. In addition the Minister also emphasized on the need of sports and extra-curricular activities for holistic development of students. Online admission procedures, teacher recruitment and changes in land requirement rules were the prominent areas covered by the Minister in his speech during the foundation stone laying ceremony. In view of the shortage of teaching staff, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan will release a notification shortly to recruit more than six thousand teachers. These upcoming openings will provide a unique opportunity for all individuals who aspire to join the noble profession of teaching and in turn help in nation building. Apart from providing a platform for guiding students and making them better citizens of tomorrow this job comes with the added satisfaction of a government tag with them, along with decent social respect and status. The Union HRD Minister also declared that to promote quality education building more Kendriya Vidyalayas was essential and to facilitate the same the land requirement norms have been relaxed further. As per the previous rule, 4 acre land was fixed for building KVs in metro cities. But taking land shortage into consideration, the Minister has cut off the land requirement to 2.5 acre instead. Similarly for other cities, KVs can be built on 5 acre land (instead of 8 acre). This would boost the construction of KV schools manifolds and would in-turn help in not only providing job opportunities for many but also in disseminating the core values of India and its history to the coming generations.
