Renowned Kashmiri singer Raj Begum, 89, passes away after prolonged illness

Renowned Kashmiri singer Raj Begum passed away on Wednesday, 26 October. She was 89.News agency ANI reported that Begum had been ill over a prolonged period of time leading up to her death. She is survived by two sons and a daughter, as well as their children. Born to Ghulam Rasool Sheikh of Srinagar in March 1927, Raj Begum began singing from a very early age, reported The Kashmir
