Nasa finds 60000-year-old living microbes in Mexico’s Naica mine
The NASA scientists have accidental made finding of living(जीवित) micro-organisms stuck(अटक) inside crystals for as long as 60,000 years in a Naica mine, a working lead, zinc and silver mine in the northern Mexican state of Chihuahua. These microbes(रोगाणुओं) about 100 different kinds of
microorganisms — most of them bacteria — have been found locked in Naica crystals for periods ranging from 10,000 to 60,000 years have apparently evolved so they can survive (बना रहना) on a diet of sulfite, manganese and copper oxide. This findings will throw some light on effects on how we try to understand the evolutionary(विकासवादी) history of microbial life on this planet.
