Imran Tahir becomes No.1 bowler in ICC ODI rankings

Imran Tahir becomes No.1 bowler in ICC ODI rankings South Africa spinner Imran Tahir has become the No.1 ODI bowler in the ICC rankings after a stellar five-match series against Sri Lanka where he took 10 wickets. which South Africa won 5-0, Tahir earned 49 points that helped him surpass(पार) New Zealand’s Trent Boult and Sunil Narine of West Indies.

It has been a good series as well for South Africa batsman and T20I captain Faf Du Plessis, who has broke into the top-five for the first time in his career after scoring 410 runs that included two centuries (सदियों) and a fifty. Du Plessis earned 67 points to surpass seven batsmen and claim fourth position, ahead of teammates Quinton de Kock in fifth position and the sixth-ranked Hashim Amla.

David Warner of Australia leads the batting table, and he is followed by South Africa’s AB de Villiers and India captain Virat Kohli of India.

SA top ODI side after two years

South Africa have returned to the top of the ICC ODI rankings after blanking Sri Lanka 5-0 at Centurion on Friday. South Africa had entered the series trailing No.1 Australia by four points.

However, Australia’s 2-0 defeat to New Zealand and South Africa’s 5-0 win over Sri Lanka has helped the Proteas moved ahead (आगे) of the world champions.

The last time South Africa topped the table was in November 2014 before India took that position defeating Sri Lanka 5-0.
