Eligibility Criteria:

Post Name	Educational Qualification; Age Limit
Tug Master Gr. I (B)	(i) Matriculation or its equivalent; (ii) Possession of First Class Master Certificate under Inland Steam Vessels Act 1917 (1 of 1917) (OR) Possession of certificate of competency as master of a Steam Vessel having engine of any nominal Horse Power or of a Motor Vessel having engines of any Break Horse Power, issued by the Mercantile Marine Department under Major Ports Harbour Crafts Rules; (iii) Three years experience in handling vessels with above capacity; (iv) Knowledge of Swimming; (v) Should pass the trade test prescribed and conducted by the Port. Age Limit: 45 years
Driver Gr. I (A)	(i) Matriculation or its equivalent; Should be in possession of First Class Driver Certificate issued under Major Port Harbour Craft Rules/ I.V. Act, 1917; (OR) (ii) Should be in possession of Certificate of Competency as Engine Driver of a Motor Vessel having engines of less than 565 BHP issued by the Mercantile Marine Department under Major Port Harbour Crafts Rules; (iii) Three years service as engine Driver in handling vessels with above capacity; (iv) Knowledge of Swimming. (v) Should pass the trade test prescribed and conducted by the Port. Age Limit: 45 years
Driver Gr. II	Possession of Engine Driver certificate granted under Inland Steam Vessels Act, 1917 (1 of 1917); (OR) (ii) Should be in possession of a Certificate of Competency as Engine Driver of a Motor Vessel having engines of less than 226 BHP issued by the Mercantile Marine Department under Major Port Harbour Craft Rules. (iii) Knowledge of Swimming. (iv)Should pass the trade test prescribed and conducted by the Port. Age Limit: 45 years
Serang	(i) Matriculation or its equivalent; (ii) Possession of Master Certificate under Inland Steam Vessels Act, 1917 (1 of 1917) or its equivalent; (OR) Possession of Certificate of Competency as Serang of a Steam Vessel having engines of less than 40 nominal Horse Power or of a Motor Vessel having engines of less than 226 Break Horse Power issued by the Mercantile Marine Department under Major Ports Harbour Craft Rules. (iii)Knowledge of Swimming. (iv)Should pass the trade test prescribed and conducted by the Port. Age Limit: 40 years
Sukkani	(i)Matriculation or its equivalent; (ii)Possession of Certificate of Competency as Serang of a Steam Vessel having engines of less than 40 nominal Horse Power or of a Motor vessel having engines of less than 226 Break Horse Power, issued by the Mercantile Marine Department under Major Port Harbour Crafts Rules. (iii)Knowledge of Swimming. (iv)Should pass the trade test prescribed and conducted by the Port. Age Limit: 40 years

 Selection Procedure

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in skill test/ trade test and interview.
