IUML leader passes away Hameedali Chemnad, former Rajya Sabha member and Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) leader, passed away at a private hospital here on Friday evening following age-related ailments. Mr. Hameedali, 87, was instrumental in bolstering the IUML in the district. Hameedali had actively taken part in the party’s membership campaign recently. A good orator, Hameedali had
officiated as the party’s State vice president and was party’s State committee member.
Born in July 1929, Hameedali graduated in law and was Rajya Sabha member from 1970 to 1979. He was elected to the second Assembly from the Nadapuram segment.
The burial will take place at the Thayilangadi Juma Masjid here at 12 noon
