President Uhuru Kenyatta in New Delhi on Wednesday.  Both countries exchanged two agreements on agriculture, including granting 100 million dollar line of credit to Kenya pertaining to agricultural mechanisation.

In a joint press statement, PM Narendra Modi said broad based and wide ranging cooperation in agriculture, trade & food security is our shared priority. 

PM said that expansion of bilateral trade, greater flow of capital between two economies and stronger developmental partnership is to be prioritized. He said that to boost trade, we are working on trade facilitation measures including standardization and related areas. 

PM said that the Joint Business Council meeting tomorrow will work to build commercial engagement through specific projects in these areas. 

PM said that partnership in education is creating new connections between our people. PM mentioned about India's strong relationship with University of Nairobi. 

PM said that in the health sector, Bhabhatron machine has been delivered to the Kenyatta National Hospital for cancer treatment. 

PM also said that both countries are also partnering to strengthen our security cooperation and capacities. 

PM said that cyber terrorism and money laundering remain challenges for which both countries are committed to fighting them. 

PM said that challenges in the maritime domain exist and there are immense opportunities for both countries to work in strengthening blue economy.   

Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta spoke of his country's commitment in standing with India in the reform of UN Security Council. 

Kenyatta spoke of global challenges and opportunities of cooperation. 

Kenyatta thanked India for supporting scholarships to Kenyan students.
