The development may not come as a surprise to many following the recent events at Tata group and Cyrus Mistry. Accusations have been hurled against Mr Ratan Tata, and the Tata group on many alleged misdemeanours, which have hurt the group.
It may not be a surprise to Mr Mistry too, as he would have expected it.
In an interview to The Economic Times, on 19th of December, the day he stepped down from the operating companies of Tata group, Mr Mistry was asked this question on plans to step down from the board of Tata Sons.
Mistry had said then he had no plans to do that. "No I won’t. Not unless they plan to throw me out. (smiles)," he had said then.
