Bharti Airtel bags 'Best Governed Company' award from ACCGS KOLKATA: Bharti Airtel, India’s biggest mobile carrier and the third-largest globally by subscriber base, on Wednesday received the ‘Best Governed Company Award’ at the 4th Asia Business Responsibility Summit organised by the Asian Centre for Corporate Governance & Sustainability (ACCGS). The award was received by Bharti
Airtel’s Global CFO Nilanjan Roy from Lady Lynn Forrester de Rothschild, Chairman & Co Founder, Coalition for Inclusive Capitalism, UK and Mr Richard Howitt, CEO, International Integrated Reporting Council, UK and former member of European Parliament, who also delivered the keynotes at the Summit.

“We are delighted to receive this award, which reflects the core ethos of corporate governance and transparency that we live by at Bharti Airtel. I want to thank the Awards Committee and the jury members for this remarkable honour,” Roy said in an official statement Wednesday.

The Asian Centre’s Leadership, Corporate Governance, Sustainability and CSR Awards are given to Companies, Industry leaders & Directors in recognition of the exemplary work done in improving Corporate Governance standards in areas of Board Transparency, Disclosures, Risk Management.
