Punjab Assembly To Hold Special Session On Sutlej-Yamuna Link Row, A special session of the Punjab assembly has been called on wednesday to deliberate over the Supreme Court's 10th of November verdict over the Sutlej-Yamuna Link or SYL canal. Participation of the Congress seems unlikely as its 42 Punjab MLAs have already submitted their resignations over the issue after the Supreme Court's decision.
Meanwhile..an NGO has approached the court over Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal and Deputy CM Sukhbir Badal's statements related to not following the Supreme Court's order seeking an early hearing.
But the court refused to do so saying it will be heard as a regular matter.
