for the continuing public distress following the note-ban policy, both Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha had been witnessing repeated adjournmnets, hindering the smooth proeedings of the winter session. Citing rise in the flow of black money in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on November 8, had initiated the demonetisation policy, following which there had been a ban on the old currency notes of the denominations Rs 500 and Rs 1,000. And even after more than three weeks since the implementation of the anti-graft policy, cash-starved people are seen, standing on long queues, outside banks and ATMs, waiting for hours, to replace their old paper currencies or collect usable cash from the money machines.
