Kirti Azad’s wife joins AAP

Poonam Azad, wife of suspended BJP MP Kirti Azad and a three-time national executive member of the party, on Sunday joined the Aam Aadmi Party, capping months of speculation. Immediately after she joined the party in the presence Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and other senior leaders, the AAP said Ms. Azad would play a key role in the Punjab elections. responsible for her quitting the BJP. Her husband Kirti Azad had launched a bitter attack on Mr. Jaitley over alleged corruption in the DDCA when the Minister was heading it. — PTI
