Mumbai: The Supreme Court on Thursday heard the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)’s petition against Lodha committee recommendations. There will be no further hearings on the issue as arguments from both sides were completed today. The court also reserved its order on the issue and the verdict is likely to be pronounced soon. BCCI had decided to approach the Supreme Court against
the recommendations submitted in a report by Justice RM Lodha Committee earlier this year. The Lodha Committee recommendations aim at complete overhaul of Indian cricket while making the board more transparent in its functioning. The suggestions have been vehemently rejected by the BCCI as it is of the opinion that its workings are already transparent enough.
