A new variety of rice seed that is light green in colour was discovered in Chhattisgarh(Rice Bowl of India) said by A K Sarawgi, head of department of genetics and breeding in Indira Gandhi Agriculture University.
ii. The seed was provided to the university by farmers from Dhamtari and Durg districts. Based on the sample, the university scientists were conducting the study.
