Dr. Ajay M. Gondane appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to Australia

India named Ajay M. Gondane as the next High Commissioner to Australia. He is from Indian Foreign Service Batch 1985 and is expected to take up the assignment shortly. Dr Gondane’s appointment was announced days after the current High Commissioner His Excellency Mr. Navdeep Suri was appointed as Indian Ambassador to UAE. Dr Gondane has previously served as Deputy Consul General, CGI, New
York and as the High Commissioner of India to Papua New Guinea. He will replac Navdeep Suri, who will move to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Australia officially the Commonwealth of Australia is a country comprising the mainland of the Australian continent, the island of Tasmania and numerous smaller islands
It is the world’s sixth-largest country by total area.

Australia has the world’s 13th-largest economy and ninth-highest per capita income (IMF).Australia is a member of the United Nations, G20, Commonwealth of Nations, ANZUS, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), World Trade Organization, Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, and the Pacific Islands Forum.
