New Delhi, July 27 (UNI) Congress president Sonia Gandhi has appointed senior party leader R K Dhawan as the convenor of the Implementation Committee of Indira Gandhi Centenary Celebrations in place of Ms Sheila Dikshit. Acording to AICC general secretary Janardhan Dwivedi, ‘’Conrgess president Sonia Gandhi has appointed Mr R K Dhawan as the convenor of the implementation committee of the Indira Gandhi
centenary celebrations in place of Ms Sheila Dikshit as she will be preoccupied with the Uttar Pradesh campaign for the forthcoming assembly elections.’’
The Congress president also appointed several sub groups for organizing various activities across the country in connection with the Indira Gandhi centenary celebrations.
