100 banks join National Financial Switch network as direct members

100-banks-join-National-Financial-Switch-network-as-direct-members  100 banks have joined the National Financial Switch (NFS) network as direct members established ATM networks, now NFS network comprise of 745 members said by Maharashtra based National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI)  on December 7, 2016. The network has established 2,30,000 ATMs till date. National
Financial Switch (NFS) is the largest network of shared automated teller machines (ATMs) in India.It was designed, developed and deployed by the Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT) .
The first ATM in India was set up in 1987 by The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation in Mumbai.
