CBSE UGC NET 2017 Admit Card Released Today; Exam on 22 Jan Across 90 Centres CBSE issued UGC NET 2017 admit card today i.e., 28 December 2016. Candidates appearing for the examination can download their respective admit card from the official site of CBSE at cbse.nic.in. The CBSE UGC NET 2017 Admit Card was scheduled to be released on 21 December 2016 but was
delayed due to certain reasons. The UGC NET examination will be conducted on 22 January 2017 in 900 centres across the country. The online version of application will be available for appearing candidates as no admit card will be sent via post.
NET will be held for selecting candidates for the post of Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship & Assistant Professor both in Indian Universities and Colleges. The examination will be held in 84 subjects at 90 exam centres across the country.
Candidates should note that the award of JRF and / or Assistant Professor will depend upon the performance of the candidate in all the three papers of NET. Candidates qualifying for Assistant Professor will not be considered for award of JRF.
NET examination will be conducted in 84 subjects and comprise of objective type questions only. Each of the papers will carry 100 marks, except third one (150 marks). While Paper 2 and 3 have 50 and 75 compulsory questions, respectively; Paper 1 gives an option to candidates for attempting 50 out of 60 questions.
Candidates will be allowed 1.25 hours for Paper 1 and 2 and 2.5 hours for Paper 3. Candidates will have to mark the responses for questions of Paper – I, Paper - II and Paper – III on the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) Sheet provided along with the test booklet.
Candidates have to score minimum of 40% marks in Paper 1 and 2 and 50% in Paper 3 for qualifying. Percentage relaxation is available for reserved categories. Details can be found from the link given below.
