COMMITTEE SUBMITS ITS REPORT TO GUV ON KAIRANA ISSUE

A committee of saints which was went to probe the exodus of people from Kairana by the ruling SP submitted its report to Governor Ram Naik in Lucknowon Friday. The team had earlier submitted its findings to Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. In their reports, the saints concluded that the Kairana exodus issue was part of a ploy to create communal tension in the region. The team led by Acharya Pramod
Krishnan handed over the report to the Governor at Raj Bhawan and briefed him about their findings. The team members —Swami Chakrapani , Swami Devendradanand Giri, Swami Kalyan Dev and Swami Chinamayanand— informed the Governor that they spoke to local people but did not take statements of political leaders.
“The report is based on the common man’s version. We willfully stayed away from political leaders because we knew what their contention would be,” Achayrya Pramod Krishnan told Naik.
The probe team members also said that they have not shared the report with the media and whatever has appeared in newspapers or channels was mere speculation.

They also admitted that some families have left Kairana ‘but it was not related to any communal incident’. The exodus, if any, was because of economic interests, was the common refrain.
