Renowned Telangana poet Guda Anjaiah passes away


Leading Telugu poet and Telangana song writer Guda Anjaiah died after prolonged illness. He was born in Dandepalli village of Lingapur mandal of Adilabad district in 1955. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and other political party leaders expressed condolence over his death and recalled his services to the Telangana movement. Chandrashekar Rao expressed deep condolences to the bereaved families of
Anjaiah.His famous song “Oooru Manadira….Vaada Manadira” song was translated in 16 languages. His novel ‘Polimera’ described the dark days of 1975 Emergency. He also wrote ‘Girijana Mahila Meluko’ drama, which got tremendous response from the people. He released ‘Voice of Telangnaa, ‘Telangana Burra Katha’ CDs during Telangana movement. He received Suddhala Hanumanthu-Janakamma Memorial’s Suddhala Foundation National Award, Sahithya Ratna, Dakitha Kalaratna, Dalitha Sevaratna etc.
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, Ministers T Harish Rao, Etala Rajender, TS JAC Chairman Prof. Kodandaram, Co-convenor Pittala Ravinder, Press Academy Chairman Allam Narayana and several others have expressed their deep condolences to the family members of demised Anajaiah.
