Narang finishes 7th at ISSF World Cup


Baku (Azerbaijan), Jun 26: Olympic Bronze medalist Gagan Narang finished seventh in the men’s 50m Rifle prone event at International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup here today. It was shooters fifth final in the event in the last two years and has bagged Bronze which he won in Fort Benning last year. He also reached the finals of Granada World Championships in 2014.On Thursday,
the ace shooter had also reached the finals of the Men’s 10m Air Rifle event and ended sixth- an event in which he had won the Olympic Bronze.Gagan’s score of 621.1 in the qualifying round, enabled the shooter to bag seventh spot to make it to the finals, was below his best, but enough to get him another world cup final match-up before Rio.
The highest score registered in qualifying was 624.7.
