The four-day long Sindhu Darshan festival is underway in Leh where colourful programs are being organised. The 20th annual Sindhu Darshan Mela commenced on Thursday with the inauguration of Sindhu Bhawan at Choglamsar Leh by Senior BJP leader LK Advani. The main reason behind the celebration of Sindhu Darshan Festival is to endorse the Indus River as an icon of the communal
harmony and unity of India. The festival is also a symbolic salutation to the courageous soldiers of the country, who endanger their life to save ours. This festival was introduced by Advani, who was the then Home Minister in 1996.
